ALTUS Architecture + Design–ის შემოქმედებითმა კოლექტივმა შექმნა პროექტი – Farquar Lake Residence–ი, რომელიც აშშ–ში, Apple Valley–ში მდებარეობს და კეთილმოწყობილ საცხოვრებელს წარმოადგენს, რომელიც Farquar–ის ტბის მახლობლად, ფოთლოვანი ტყის შუაგულში მდებარეობს.

This contemporary outdoor bench is designed by Nico Yektai. It is one of the series of similar benches which all feature natural materials and sleek design. Thanks to using stainless steel brackets this bench features a comfortable and safe floating back. Cast concrete legs serves as a visual anchor to the back and as arm rests. The back and the seating surface are done in wood wich made to look sleek. Thanks to such materials, this outdoor bench not only could survive outside of your house but also could become a good looking contemporary piece of outdoor area design. { Nico Yektai }

We’ve seen their work before on Yatzer, Kidosaki Architects Studio is a stimulating design studio which infuses modern and traditional Japanese aesthetic ideas into starkly contemporary buildings while maintaining the original characteristics of traditional Japanese architecture.  Thel Studio has unique works which combine modern and traditional while trying to keep a strong Japanese architectural identity.  The coexistence of traditional and new values exceeds the borders and creates designs of the future.

This pure sharp and clean cut private residence is an achievement of Lindvall A&D.  It was completed in early 2008 and is located in South of Malmo, Sweden.  It is a perfect example of bringing the outside in with many large double glazing openings, constructed to have full surrounding views from every part of the house. The exterior allows you to be part of the interior by providing uninterrupted views which create no surprises or unexpectedness. 

As we know building must has strong sustainable to stand up.This is a sustainable building called Ironbank Building designed by RTA Studio which situated in Auckland, New Zealand.The sustainable building called Ironbank is conceived as a manifestation of a cross contamination of the two contrasting street conditions.This screen has been conceived as an abstraction of the historical facades adjacent.The sustainable Ironbank building is Ecologically Sustainably Designed and has received the first 5 Star As–Built Greenstar rating from the New Zealand Green Building Council.

This classically modern, 3400-square foot home is designed by Kim Lavacot of Bennett Lavacot Architecture, while it’s interior is designed by Robin Chell Design studio. The house is overlooking Lake Washington and maximizes the expansive water views and encourage the interplay between the indoors and outdoors with a lush and expansive courtyard. The interior is done in natural and honest materials, including exposed concrete, natural stone, blackened steel and sustainable hardwoods. This project is designed by Amir Schlezinger as an extension of the London house’s interior outside. Both the garden and roof terrace serves very well for that. The benches reiterate the shape of the indoor fireplace, while the Ipe hardwood continues the lines of the flooring. The granite in the waterfall increases in size while alternating texture and alignment, producing a captivating flow. The terrace is an amazing inspiration for those who want to continue their contemporary interior design outside. Solar power is a possible future for power in our homes. Year after year green ideas become stronger and solar power become stronger with them. Too bad that to power a house with solar energy it should be situated in right part of the planet. Zero Energy Design is one of not many studios that add complex solar solutions in their house designs.

Tocha is one those firms with design one-of-a-kind modern living spaces and buildings. This house is one of their works in Rising Glen, LA. It’s one store building but with 4 bedrooms, 4 1/2 bathrooms, two cinemas, wine room, pool and spa, private yoga area and two kitchens. The house is very open to outdoors what have as pros as cons. Some cons are eleminated by 1/2 acre private area around but other of them like depending from temperature are still here. Although having outdoor kitchen, outdoor cinema probably make owners to forget about cons.

The house is also full of hi-tech features like having remote which control everything from temperature and lights to audio and video components all around the house. The lighting system around the house combined to be programmed from one place. The pool has under water audio system and salty water. Everything that is guarded by 24-hour security system which includes motion sensors and cameras. [Tocha]

This house is located on a remote 10 acre site in Central Oregon. Only trees surround it. The house consists of two simple cubes, one for sleeping and one for living. The sleeping box is low & burrowed into earth, while the living box floats above, hovering just at treetop level. Thanks to its position, the living area has awesome views. The house’s exterior is covered with durable and fire proofed materials. A lot of “green” technologies are used in the house. All rainwater could be harvested & stored for landscaping or firefighting purposes. Tube solar water heaters efficiently provide most of the heating for the home through in-floor radiant tubing. The buildings narrow profile and extensive glazing combined with the regions low humidity allow for passive cooling of the home. [PIQUE]
